While Chopra continues in his efforts to cement a place in the industry, he has also ventured into script writing and production. Hansraj has, however, turned to direction, with Pyaar Impossible being his second presentation after the lukewarm response to the animated Roadside Romeo . Luckily, with this romantic comedy both showed improvements in their respective fields. Perhaps it was the addition of Priyanka Chopra to the team that has generated value to this project.Pyaar Impossible is the story of the most popular and gorgeous girl in college, Alisha (Priyanka Chopra), the dream girl who left suddenly due to pressure from her dad. At college she had many admirers, including a geek named Abhay (Uday Chopra), who one night, unknown to her, rescued her from drowning. Seven years pass and their paths cross when Abhay heads off to Singapore in search of a devious businessman. What follows is a sweet journey of friendship, romance and revenge.Hansraj shows marked improvement as a director with this simple and heart-warming story that has been well written by Uday Chopra. Though not without flaws, the movie moves at a decent pace and provides thorough entertainment. Uday Chopra has also cleverly written out his lead characters and, thankfully, does not make too many transformations to Abhay's character as the story progresses.
PERFORMANCES:
Priyanka Chopra looks sizzling and sexy and delivers another competent performance. From her diverse roles in What's Your Rashee and Kaminey, Chopra handles the college and home scenes with remarkable ease. The talented Uday Chopra delivers another honest and enjoyable performance in a role that suits him perfectly. The surprise package, however, is Dino Morea, who looks suave and proves that he can act with the best in the business
MUSIC:
Though the music does not have the typical Bollywood flavour, which can be seen as a weakness, it's the catchy title song that does leave an impression
Likeness
Just the simple concept of the beauty and the geek and the manner in which it is presented on screen
OVERALL:
Though a cute and sugary movie, the concept of the beauty and the geek does question the physical attraction that society seems to prefer over the true qualities that love should be centered around. Go check out Pyaar Impossible. After all, nothing is impossible in love!
